Amy Schissel's installation, Hyper-Atlas, explores vastness and deposits of information in a delicate world. With flowing paper and layer upon layer of traditional materials, Schissel, submerges the viewer into a world that navigates the spaces between the analog and digital worlds of traditional cartography and internet mapping to explore new dimensions of our contemporary landscape. As one is surrounded and becomes a part of Hyper-Atlas, the finesse of Schissel's ability to translate emotion and discovery is undeniable.
