"On view at the Patrick Mikhail Gallery booth at the Armory Show, Miami-based artist Amy Schissel's new work is a standout. From Here To There is a paper-based installation created at the Joan Mitchell Foundation in New Orleans, where the artist did a residency last year, it's what the gallery calls “fantastical meta-narrative of worlds colliding as interpreted through a female lens.” Never has grey looked so luscious, as the work is layered with drawings and painting on paper, with ink jet prints, paper relief and screen printing. Rarely do we see Canadian galleries and artists team up at this iconic New York art fair, but here, they’re making quite the impact" .
